Effective report writing is simple if you keep a few things in mind. Primarily, you must strive at
all costs to do two (2) things: (i) record your observations (mostly, what you see an hear) and
(ii) avoid making conclusions.
Here's some examples:
"I observed an inoperable vehicle." [This is simply a conclusion!]
"I observed a car parked in the driveway. It was raised on cement blocks and the tires were
missing. There was no hood and I could see that there was no engine in the engine bay."
[These are observations!]
