Report Writing

Effective report writing is simple if you keep a few things in mind. Primarily, you must strive at all costs to do two (2) things: (i) record your observations (mostly, what you see an hear) and (ii) avoid making conclusions.

Here's some examples:

"I observed an inoperable vehicle." [This is simply a conclusion!]

"I observed a car parked in the driveway. It was raised on cement blocks and the tires were missing. There was no hood and I could see that there was no engine in the engine bay." [These are observations!]
